There are many advantages to reducing the number of vendors a business deals with for telecommunications and technology. One of the issues that affects most businesses is that they rely on a phone vendor AND a separate carrier in order to have fully functional telecommunications. If an issue arises, the two vendors seldom work together to resolve it and often blame the other vendor – with little concern that the customer may be suffering. For the vendor, providing multiple services means they take greater ownership over those services and have greater control. For the customer, having “one throat to choke” reduces confusion in billing and makes troubleshooting easier.

Companies with multiple locations can also take advantage of deploying one vendor across multiple locations, especially while employing cloud services. Having one platform or provider across multiple locations allows for greater centralized control, faster response times, and simplified billing.
